Math Pathway Through Middle School 

Grade 6 

  • Math 6 
  • Accelerated Math 6 = 6 / 7A course = Grade 6 standards and the first half of the grade 7 standards 
  • GT Math 6 = 7B / 8 course = The second half of the grade 7 standards and the grade 8 standards

Grade 7 

  • Math 7 
  • Accelerated Math 7 = 7B / 8 course = The second half of the grade 7 standards and the grade 8 standards 
  • GT Algebra

  • GT Geometry  The blue shows the standard path.  The green shows the accelerated path. Students may move to the accelerated path between grades 6 and 7 by completing the summer course Math Pioneers AND passing a test to demonstrate mastery of the grade 6 standards and the first half of the grade 7 standards. Students who are not available to attend the summer course may work through an online self-study course before taking the three tests.  Students may move to the accelerated path between grades  7 and 8 by completing  the summer course Math Pioneers AND passing a test to demonstrate mastery of the second half of the grade 7 standards and the grade 8 standards.  Students who are not available to attend the summer course may work through an online self-study course before taking the three tests.  The red shows the GT path. 

Math Pioneers

Students who complete this self study will be given the opportunity to take an assessment at the end of the summer to see if they qualify to move to the next level math course.
