Student Service-Learning at Pine Grove Middle School
At Pine Grove Middle School, we are committed to developing responsible citizens who make a difference in their community. As part of Maryland’s graduation requirement, all students must complete a minimum of 75 hours of Student Service-Learning (SSL) by the time they finish high school.
Service-Learning combines meaningful community service with academic learning, helping students build leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while giving back to others. Students can earn hours through school-sponsored activities or approved opportunities in the community.
To support our Cougars, we have created a Student Service-Learning Schoology page where students can find approved opportunities, important updates, and answers to frequently asked questions. Families and students can join the SSL group in Schoology with the access code PX5H-CJWJ-MKQZZ.
Students may also email or stop by
Room 2112 to speak with Mr. Mihalyov (
[email protected]), our Service-Learning Coordinator, for more information.
Together, we can encourage our students to grow as leaders and community members while meeting this important graduation requirement.
