Math Pathways

Math Pathways from MS to HS

When looking at the math pathway through middle school, it may help to see the long term goal through the high school courses.

On this page you will see a listing of the middle school pathways and what they lead into for high school.

If you have any further questions, please contact your child's math teacher or the math department chair.

All students must have four credits of math in high school. Credits earned in middle school count towards the overall total of credits needed to graduate, but they do not replace the four math credits needed.

Special Note about Algebra: All students who are enrolled in Algebra will take the Algebra HSA (MCAP). Passing the Algebra MCAP is a graduation requirement. The passing score for Algebra MCAP is set by the state. According to the state website on graduation requirements, the passing score for the Algebra MCAP is as follows:

2016-17 score of 725
