Welcome to the
Pine Grove Middle’s School Resource Officer page. School
Resource Officers (SRO) serve as comprehensive resources in
the schools to which they are assigned. A SRO is a certified
law enforcement officer who is permanently assigned to a
school. The SRO is specifically trained to perform three
roles: law enforcement officer; law-related counselor; and
law-related teacher. The SRO is not an officer who has been
placed temporarily in a school in response to a crisis
situation but rather acts as a comprehensive resource for
his/her school.
Officer Lindy Hall
started police work in 1984. In 1995, she had lateral to
Baltimore County Police Department. During the 1997-1998 school
year, she has been assigned as Pine Grove’s DARE Officer. Then
in 2005-2006 school year she became the permanent School
Resource Officer to Pine Grove Middle School.
Officer Hall
enjoys her current assignments at Pine Grove. While her primary
responsibility at the school is as a law enforcement officer,
she spends many hours teaching the DARE Program and other safety
classes. She has had a close interaction with the students over
the years. With that rapport students are able to ask questions
of her that they would not normally ask of the average patrol
officer. Officer Hall attends sporting events, teen nights,
concerts, plays and other school events to further enhance the
student/officer relationship. She proudly co-sponsors the after
school club, Students Against Destructive Decisions, a club to
help students be safe and prevent drug and alcohol use.
Officer Hall works
closely with the Administrative Staff to help create a safe and
positive environment in which the students can learn and be
successful.
If you need to
