Club is up and running …. Fast!
September was membership drive. We have over 50 registered
members.
In
October we hosted red ribbon week with many students
pledging to be drug and alcohol free. In November SADD was
over whelmed with their Halloween Candy Drive. They
collected over 50 pounds to be given to the local homeless
shelter. Upcoming activities will be our annual
Thanksgiving Can Drive and our Holiday Can Drive.

The Quiz
Bowl team has a tradition of excellence at PGMS. For
the past 3 years our team has gone all the way to the
district playoffs. This year our team is bigger and
better than ever. We meet on Wednesdays from 3-345pm.
Our first match is against Sparrow's Point Middle. |

The Pine Grove Honors Chorus is made up of 6th,
7th, and 8th grade students
who show excellent musicianship and work ethic. We
love to sing and it shows in our performance.
Honors Chorus meets from 2:45-3:45 every Thursday
after school.
Honors Chorus will perform at Seven Oaks Elementary
on Friday, December 14, 2007 at 10 am.

Aquaculture Club formerly known as Watershed Club is
up and running. The
Aquaculture Club is designed to educate
students about the bay and the watershed they live
in. Students will be responsible for caring for the
tropical
fish tanks that are located at the entrance of the
school. Students will also be involved in raising
horseshoe crabs and a Maryland Terrapin for the
Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Students
will be responsible for collecting data and
completing chemical tests which will be reported
back to the DNR. Please see Ms. Sorandes in room 34
if you have questions!
