7 PM- All grades-Miss Mordente

All  concerts will be held at Pine Grove Middle in the cafeteria.  Musicians should report ˝ hour prior to the concert start time.  Concerts are a required part of each music performance class curriculum.    Individual conflicts should be worked out with the music teacher in advance.

“Practice it like you are performing it for a concert every time!” Also, parents please speak to your student about their focus in the chorus classroom.  A responsible chorus student follows along in their music even when they are not singing.  By counting and reading along, you will be ready to breathe and sing on your entrance.   Off task behavior ruins the musical experience for the rest of the group.  A good rule of thumb is to “practice it like you would for an audience – EVERY TIME!”  Students are below grade level at sight-reading, and need to meet performance standards.  Focus is especially important, because we only see each other every other day.  Thank you for supporting music in our schools.

A BIG thank you to all the talented musicians who auditioned for the County Honor music ensembles.  Mr. Tracy, Ms. Mordente and Ms. Norris are EXTREMELY proud of your hard work! You represented the school in a very fine way!
